I too got the sample pack included with my new machine. At first I was disappointed by how watered down the cocoa was but then realized much of it was left in the K cup. As someone previously suggested, this is taken care of by just simply shaking the K cup before putting it in the machine. That's it. (thanks for sharing!) The best part is Green Mtn is the only one I've found that doesn't have "Hydrogenated Oil" as the lead ingredient. Just for that alone they earn an extra star!
My daughter and I love this.I bought a Keurig personal machine for our house,and I also have one at work I use. The trick to having this taste great is a few things:
1-Its needs 1 teaspoon of sugar or sweetener added to it
2-You cant use it with the larger oz setting,6 oz makes the best flavored drink (that isnt watery)
3-shake the cup before you use it
4-if you use the Keurig for coffee,run water through it without a KCup,to get rid of the coffee flavor if you dont like coffee.
While I love the taste of Green Mountain Hot Cocoa, the prices for these k-cups on Amazon are outrageous. I have seen this product advertised on other sites for almost half the price. I would shop around for a better price. It seems like the vendors on Amazon are ripping consumers off. I rated this product 2 stars because of the price. If I was rating for flavor alone, it would be 4 stars.
Really, better tasting than I expected! I prefer it stronger so I use the "tea" setting on my wonderful Keurig brewer. I noted that some people had reported problems with clogging when using this product; but I always remember to shake the K-cup (as recommemded) befor brewing, and have experience no such difficulties. I also try to run a cup of plain water after brewing my cocoa to prevent the possibility of cloggin when I brew my next beverage - probably Tully's French Roast. Delicious, quick, and easy . . .who could ask for anything more? Enjoy!
While it costs much more than I would like, I keep buying as it is excellent!

I got myself a keurig Brewer this year and love it! I found the Green Mountain Hot Cocoa and tried it. It was a little watery...after the first experience, I started shaking the K-Cup before brewing my hot cocoa and I have not had one problem since! The flavor is great and it is not watery anymore. Remember vigerously shake the k-cup then put it in the Keurig brewer. I also make sure and don't have it set to the largest cup size.
Try this and it will be great each time!
I was worried when I first tried the hot chocolate k-cup for my mini keurig, thought it would be watery. I was pleased to find this was not so, but still felt it was lacking something. I love chocolate, and if you do to try this, how about a mounds bar in a cup? Simply add a dash of coffemate cocoanut creme, for an almond joy, add equal parts of coffemate amaretto and coconut cream, its heaven, fellow chocolate lovers!
Enjoyed it very much. One thing is you have to have the Keurig set for the tea cup size to get the full flavor. The middle setting, 7.25oz, is not as strong tasting. Some here didn't seem to mind and preferred to have the bigger cup. I would put some marshmallows in the bottom of of the cup and push brew, and you have a nice cup of hot chocolate with a creamy marshmallow layer on top.
Despite the generally weak reviews, I gave this a try because I love hot chocolate and the convenience of the Keurig. Unfortunately, I have to agree with most reviewers who gave this low marks. It is weak and watery and has more coconut oil than actual cocoa. If you don't mind the fake hot chocolate made with water and those little instant envelopes you might not mind these so much, but I won't be purchasing these again.
