My wife and I bought this charger to save money on batteries, since we have three people using the Wii every day. The thing works well for us, and our batteries haven't gone bad except for the one that I dropped. I dropped the battery on the floor and it won't work, which is not a problem for me since it's my fault. HOWEVER, I contacted the company from their own web site links and haven't received any response at all after several weeks. All I wanted to know was whether or not I could get a replacement battery for the induction charger since I couldn't find one online. They could have at least responded in some way. Since then, I've heard other people mention the same thing. I won't buy anything with this brand name on it again, but it won't matter because they already got my money and they sell enough to so many others that they don't have to care about one guy -- and they know it.
I've bought this last december and it works great. Easy to use, my 5yo boy can manage do charge his wii controls. I recomend!
It was cheaper to buy the whole set then just buy 2 additional batteries. Batteries work great, now I don't have to keep buying batteries for the additional remotes we have. Good purchase overall...
We purchased two of these chargers last Christmas. After a couple of charges, one of the batteries on each of the sets no longer holds a charge, eventhough the base shows it is totally charged. Last month I noticed these Nyko chargers on the clearance table at the store where I purchased them. I can see why. I have never been able to find replacement batteries sold separately. Will not buy this brand again.
Be very wary! Worked great at first but both batteries no longer hold a charge after 3-4 months. Don't waste your money! Soooo disappointed.
This is by far the best charger for the Wii that I have come across. It works extremely well and once charged the batteries last several days on one charge. One of the nices things about this charger is that you don't have to remove anything you have plugged into the base of the remote before charging. This product will pay for itself very quickly because the wii remotes go through AA batteries quickly.
This is a very nice looking charger. However,one of the battery stopped holding charges after about a week of use.
This is the best choice for Wii remote chargers! Not only does this product charge the remotes quickly but it also looks futuristic and cool! Works with regular Wii remote and Wii Motion-Plus! If there was anything I would change: the chargers doesn't seem to like remotes that have the black rubber grip on the remote. When the remote has this particular grip on, the product will not recognize the rechargeable battery pack and will not charge the remote, but not worries, just remove the rubber grip! ;-D Overall, great product!
It worked great for the first charge, but afterwards never charged again. Only one battery went dead, the other is just fine. the station shows that it is charged but it will not even power up the wiimote.
Right after the three month warranty window expired, both batteries failed to charge. Place the charger on the base and it will show that it is fully charged. Try to use it on the Wii and it the Wii's battery status will show no charge.
In case I just happened to get a bad set of batteries, I went to look at buying replacement batteries Wii Battery Kit for Charge Station - Color may vary. Looking at the one-star comments shows that this is a common problem.
I called Nyko and got no sympathy from the tech representative.
